Paneer cheese cutlet recipe with step by step photos. crisp and melt in the mouth are these pan fried cutlets made with paneer and mozzarella cheese. they are easy and quick to make and serve as a nice party snack or a finger food.

I had some leftover paneer and mozzarella cheese and just to use them up i ended up making these cutlets. the recipe was a hit at home. so i thought this recipe has to be shared in the blog. these paneer cutlets are minimally spiced and have a soft cheesy, gooey texture inside due to the melted mozzarella cheese.

For best results i would suggest to use mozzarella cheese or pizza cheese. but if you do not have mozzarella cheese, then you can use cheddar or processed cheese. with both cheddar cheese and processed cheese the texture will not be gooey but will be soft.

These cutlets are made without potatoes. so you absolutely do not need to add boiled potatoes in it. the binding agent is bread crumbs. for making bread crumbs, just grind 1 slice of bread in a mixer and the bread crumbs are ready.

I have not crumb coated the cutlets, but just dredged them in rice flour to give some crispness. you can even use bread crumbs or corn starch to coat them.

You can serve these delicious paneer tikki recipe as snack or an after school snack for kids. serve with some coriander chutney or mint chutney or a yogurt dip or tomato ketchup.

The recipe makes for 5 large cutlets. the recipe can also be halved or doubled. these paneer cutlets are on the heavier side and about 2 large cutlets can be served to 1 to 2 people. i made large cutlets, but you can even make small to medium sized.
